雲門41年終於有了自己的家

雲門舞集41歲,終於有自己的家了。
很難想像,在國際上享譽盛名的「台灣之光」雲門舞集,十幾齣經典舞座的創作與排練,都只靠著一間位於八里、外觀宛若工寮的簡陋綠色鐵皮屋。2008年,連這個簡陋的小家也遭逢大火,付之一炬。然而,雲門成立41年後的第一個新家「雲門劇場」,終於在本月落成。
10日舉辦的落成典禮,大紅布幕高高掛,建築界、表演藝術界、文化界與淡水居民上百餘人都來參加,鑼鼓歡騰聲中獻上花、果、酒、肴,金黃色的舞龍舞獅咬著象徵旺來的鳳梨,雲門舞集創辦人林懷民開心接下,豪氣地鼓掌大喊:「好啊!」
在劇場空間中總讓人感到冷凝絕美的雲門,原來也有這樣熱鬧歡騰、宛如廟會的時刻。林懷民真性情的擁抱來參加前來的嘉賓,有時候還高興地跳起來。
原來,雲門劇場的落成,不只是雲門的喜事,也是全台灣的喜事。
這座位於中央廣播電台舊址的雲門劇場, 座落在淡水的小山丘上,位於劉銘傳于1986年建立的滬尾砲台與95年歷史的淡水高爾夫球場之間,占地約1.5公頃, 包含有一座450席的劇場,一座150席的小劇場級1000人使用的戶外劇場

Mary Saunders
earned a B.M. and a M.M. from The Boston Conservatory, where she was
former chair at the voice department. She completed studies with David
Blair McClosky, Iride Pilla, Grace Hunter and Donna Roll.
Saunders has performed as a soloist with the Salem Philharmonic, Sinfonia by the Sea, the Cecilia Society, the Mendelssohn Club of Albany and many choral societies in venues such as Jordan Hall, Sanders Theatre and the Gardner Museum. She has made additional appearances in the Mugford Street and St. John's concert series and has premiered works by Boston composers David Walther, John Adams and Larry Bell. Saunders continues to be an active recitalist in the New England area. Her recordings with the Scarborough Chamber Players can be heard on the Centaur record label.
Saunders is a member of Friend of the Arts, Sigma Alpha Iota, PI KAPPA LAMBDA, the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and The McClosky Institute of Voice.

Neil Donohoe has
been chair and director of the Theater Division of The Boston
Conservatory since 1985. He has directed throughout New England,
including productions at the Charles Playhouse in Boston, Speakeasy Stage Company (Boston), The Boston Gay Men’s Chorus (BGMC), Waterville Summer Music Theater (Maine), Timberlake Playhouse (Illinois), College Light Opera Company
(Falmouth, Massachusetts), Keene Summer Theater, Bill Fegan Attractions
in Dallas and Chiswick Park Theater (Sudbury, Massachusetts).
Donohoe was a principal singer for Light Opera of Manhattan (LOOM). He served as a director for The Green Mountain Guild of Vermont for several seasons and as a guest instructor at Boston University. For The Boston Pops, he staged the ensemble numbers for both the opening of the 1992 season (with guest Tyne Daly) and the 1993 tribute to John Williams. He also coached the Boston Pops 1997 opening night guest Elaine Paige, coordinated and staged performers for the nationally televised Fourth of July concerts on the Esplanade from 1998–2001, and has directed annual concerts featuring Boston Conservatory Theater students since 1998.
For The Boston Conservatory, Donohoe directed the critically acclaimed American premiere of The National Theater adaptation of Candide, the Boston premieres of Side Show (at the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theater), The Screams of Kitty Genovese (new work), Angels (new work), The Captain’s Daughter (new work) and The Human Comedy (first fully staged production), as well as Bernstein’s MASS, Sweeney Todd (1996 and 2010), Follies (1993 and 2008), A Time For Singing, Roberta, The Grass Harp, Iolanthe (1987 and 2006), Kismet (1987 and 2005), Street Scene (1986 and 2000) and West Side Story. He co-directed, adapted and produced Die Fledermaus at the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theater.
In addition, Donohoe produced and directed the 2007 fully staged workshop productions of Down There, by Brian Crawley and Lewis Flinn, funded by a grant from The Gilman & Gonzales-Falla Foundation and arranged through The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT). Donohoe also produced and directed All Lost to Prayers, by Dana Brayton and Tom Evans in 2006, and he directed a staged workshop of A Vision by Tom Megan at Suffolk University in 1987. As a producer, Donohoe co-produced the 125th Anniversary of The Boston Conservatory, starring Marvin Hamlisch and Liz Callaway, as well as a benefit production of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens (a Boston premiere) for The Boston Living Center and a benefit for The Fenway Community Health Center, starring Madeline Kahn. He also produced a Kurt Weill Festival and served as director of the annual Vincent Show for 10 years, raising money for the Women’s Care Division of Massachusetts General Hospital.
Donohoe serves on the Board of Directors of StageSource and the Board of Visitors of Speakeasy Stage Company.
