Mary Saunders

Mary Saunders
earned a B.M. and a M.M. from The Boston Conservatory, where she was
former chair at the voice department. She completed studies with David
Blair McClosky, Iride Pilla, Grace Hunter and Donna Roll.
Saunders has performed as a soloist with the Salem Philharmonic, Sinfonia by the Sea, the Cecilia Society, the Mendelssohn Club of Albany and many choral societies in venues such as Jordan Hall, Sanders Theatre and the Gardner Museum. She has made additional appearances in the Mugford Street and St. John's concert series and has premiered works by Boston composers David Walther, John Adams and Larry Bell. Saunders continues to be an active recitalist in the New England area. Her recordings with the Scarborough Chamber Players can be heard on the Centaur record label.
Saunders is a member of Friend of the Arts, Sigma Alpha Iota, PI KAPPA LAMBDA, the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and The McClosky Institute of Voice.
